FAQ

Is my site data kept confidential?

Yes, all site data will be kept confidential

How do you charge for your services... any guarantees?

We will  charge an hourly rate of $195 per hour or a retainer for large projects. There will be a minimum charge of $975 to look at any project information. Payment terms are 30 days after our deliverables are sent to you. Generally after a quick review of the project, we can make a go/no-go decision as to move forward or not with a more detailed evaluation. Do to the complexity of in situ remediation, we can’t provide any guarantees.

Are your designs transparent?

All designs provided or reviewed will include all references and calculations for you design basis.

Are you available in the field for project oversight?

Yes, but not for the entire project, but just project startup until steady state performance are achieved.

What in situ chemistries have you worked with?

Chemical oxidation (peroxide, persulfate, permanganate), Anaerobic Bio (emulsified soybean oils, soluble substrates (e.g., sodium lactate), bioaugmentation, colloidal and microscale ZVI, colloidal and powdered activated carbon, ZVI/Bio mixes both solid and liquid substrates, other reductants (calcium polysulfide, ferrous sulfate, ferric chloride)

Can you support us with any regulator interactions?

Yes, we can support workplan development and answer any questions on the approach and design.

Are you available to be an expert witness?

Yes, but strictly focused on the remediation design and field performance.

Can you interpret HRSC, e.g., MiHPT and OIP data and apply it to the remediation design?

Yes, have provided this review successfully on many projects.

Can you review ours and our contractor's safety plans?

Yes, have developed HASPs on many projects. Often contractor HASP’s are “cookie cutter” without a deep dived into projects unique safety issues. We can also review contractor Piping Flow Diagrams for completeness.

Can you provide Risk Assessments of field setup prior to implementation?

Yes we can or we can train you how to perform these.

Can you review post remediation groundwater data?

Yes, have provided this evaluation on many projects based on contaminant levels and water chemistry.

What delivery technologies have you worked with?

DPT injection, DPT hydraulic fracturing, well injection, sonic injection, and open bore hole packer interval isolation for hydraulic or pneumatic fracturing, and shallow soil mixing.

Can you support design of Bench-Scale Testing and Design Optimization Testing (e.g., pilot testing)?

Yes, we have designed both with a focus on the results such that that they can be applied to full-scale remediation. We can also help design ROI verification field testing.

What services don't you provide?

We don’t do groundwater modeling, order chemistries, review initial site sampling plans, meet with public stakeholders, write quarterly soil and groundwater regulatory reports, review MNA demonstrations, make the case for institutional controls.

What chemistry manufacturers have you worked with?

Evonik, Carus, Provectus, Cascade, Regenesis, Univar, Brenntag, Graus Chemical, Terra Systems, RNAS, Tersus, EOS, SiREM, Aptim.

What chemistries have you worked with?

Oxidants (Persulfates, Peroxide, Permanganates) Reductants (Micro Scale ZVI, Colloidal iZVI, EHC, Metafix, Geoform Solid, Provect IR, Calcium Polysulfate, Dithionite, Ferrous Sulfate, Ferric Chloride), Bio Amendments (emulsified soybean oil, sodium lactate, calcium peroxide, gypsum, bioaugmentation DHC), and Sequestration (powdered and colloidal carbon).

What chemistries have you not worked with?

Ozone.

Will you work on off shore projects?

Yes, We’ve worked in Columbia, Canada, and Denmark. Actual travel to the project site will be on a case by case basis.

Are you hiring?

Not at this time, but will evaluate based on the amount of projects we support. Most likely will be injection specialists who can support field activities.

Who will you work with?

Responsible parties, attorneys, consultants,  and state regulators who need workplan review support.
